My laptop wont connect to the internet... hope for an easy fix!!

Well im on my girls pc right now. We have a shared laptop that got a virus or something last week and staples did a little repair and I think backed it up to 2 weeks prior

Well I get it back and now I cannot connect to the internet. We have a hardwire line going from our modem to the second bedroom where the laptop is and we usually just click the internet cord into the side and it works perfect. I also tried using my xbox internet cord and the cord hooked up to this computer to make sure it wasnt the cable

I believe it may have something to do with a network setting, the pc is running window 7.

When I go into the wireless network list, I see the connection Im pretty sure we used to use calledHome_Network, and it shows an X beside it with the message " the setings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network"

When I try and diagnose, I go to control panel -> network and internet -> Network and sharing

And there is an X between the network symbol, and the internet....

Im stumped on what this could be, I would just like for it to function as it did before, problem free if anyone can lend a quick hand!
