My lame ***, low budget CTS build

Well, this one is going to probably **** for me. For sure won't get me the 152-153 I am use to but I am at least hoping for a 140, LOL... going to be running a LOC, stock everything else, Big3 and that's about it.

the car:

the system is as fallows:

P.A. CPT1-5500D @ 1ohm (2kw~ rms)

2) RE SE-x 10"s

2.5ft^3 @ 36hz via 6" aero port. subs rear, port to the drivers/passengers side (gonna see which I like better)

nice Line Out Converter with built in line driver

stock head unit

stock speakers

LOL, lame as balls, I know! I will be ditching that factory 10" in the rear deck so that will at least be ported. the mids/highs on the car are pretty good for right now and I just dont want to mess with the stock looks of the dash cuz I love it. The spot on the cement is from my Explorer, which was always parked there before I got this car a while back.

Lol I like that you disclosed that info before we gave you crap. Why the SE-x's?
IDK, I bought them 2 years ago for my Conquest and never used them. they have been in my closet since, tried trading them for something else but no interest so I decided to toss 'em in.

You should have a 140 with ease with that substage.

I do 142 sealed on the dash on a burp and 141s at the headrest on music with half the power, a little more cone area (2 12s) and my box is tuned way lower to 31hz and the subs are meant for sq. I would do subs back port back and put the box a ports width from the rear of the trunk if you want #s.

I had my box built by a "pro"... LOL Well, a group of them actually. There are a bunch of local guys that have been doing dB drags for years and they all got together and designed/built me a nice little box. After a bit of testing they decided subs back, port to the drivers side would be best. Here is the box, I am going to have it bed linered. Nothing too special as I stated, 2.5ft^3 net at 35hz~, rounded corners, flush mounted subs (of course) and they set the port out a bit with that baffle so it would mount flush and so we could add a little port length without taking up space to get the 35hz~ I wanted.

Every corner has been rounded since the pic, box was about 85% complete when the pic was taken.

Wire should be here tomorrow, gotta pick up the LOC and then I should be installing. I am HOPING to get time this weekend but I am not sure if that is going to happen. I really like the way the box turned out though!! Once I get it sealed, bed lined and loaded, I will get more pics up

It might not seem completely lame but in comparison to my last build:

It's gonna ****! LOL that did 153's as you see it. Never did any testing, didn't seal the box, didn't do crap. built the box about 5-6 hours before the competition, found my peak and burped a 153.1 or something like that, barely a 153... I think she had more in her, I just didn't get around to it.

Hey, I know where you work
You sure...? there are like 4 companies around here that do it. of course, we are BY FAR the best!!! not just saying that either, it's pretty obvious if you look at ANY of our builds! not to mention the COUNTLESS vehicles that get brought to us for fixing when the "lowest bidder" ***** every up!

EDIT: just realized you can see the neighboring building so you very well might know where I work. LOL You know the people/place well or just know of it...?
