Was it damaged mechanically, thermally, low voltage, high voltage, or other? If something scraped the board, you may be able to re-solder the connection. If it was damaged another way, there may be more issues.

got in my car one day and it never came on

it looks as if it got too hot or something it has a small burn mark on the cover

Is the cover metal? It could have contacted the case and shorted
