My issues with FI Audio

Got the first 15 in the car today after drilling new holes for the gasket and gluing the spacer to fit correctly. Its on the same Cerwin Vega 1k at 2ohms right now till the 2nd gets here. Turned it on. Hey this sounds really good but where are my lows. Open up the laptop-dsp. Ah yes. Who needs a SSF? Notttt me. Take off eq and SSF. Oh. OH HO HO HO. There are my lows.

Despite issues. Sub is fucking dope. Got Tracking on the 2nd one today as well.

Right side is backseat. Yea. Tolerances...

I'd still put a SSF on it especially if you left that other hole open.. don't want to blow one while waiting for the 2nd and then you're out even longer

They have 34mm of excursion and are rated for 600W@20Hz. Its probably seeing 600 watts at 20hz on a odb signal rn. Maybe. I sealed the hole as well. the motor is facing the cabin so ill def be listening for tink tink tink.

maybe a SSf of 15 hz at 24db wouldnt be a bad idea. Ill do a Sweep on Rew sometime this week and see if i have an acoustic roll off to match a SSF up with. Till then ill wait for the 2nd and then do a test tone of lower notes at 0db till i find where they hit xmax(they might not).

the question is, do you even play that low on the regular? Subsonic is definitely not needed at all IMO. Not unless you play rebassed music thats emphasized on 8hz to 28hz

Response pics with only one sub in and hole sealed.

First pic. Pink is trunk open.

Second pic. Red is sub. Green is Sls 10in midbass in kicks.

Third pic is them out of phase (same time alignment same polarity)

Fourth pic is them in phase. Same t/a, opposite polarity because of inverted sub direction.
