my idea with EDU 700's

first off i meant EU 700

im getting a pair, heres what i plan do to. Tell me if it sounds like a good idea or bad. I already run a 12 ported at 29 hz. I want to add the 6.5's in my trunk so what I plan to do is where in my backseat there is a center counsol thing that folds down to go into the trunk. its about a foto wide by 15 high..... im going to make a box that the front peice goes right into that so i can see the subs and have the port face back. im gonna run them at 150-200 wrms ....also with the second amd.... im gonna get a distro block for the power and run another ground... is it better to run another set of RCA's or is it the same as just getting a splitter putting one pair into 2. thats what id rather do. also with the remote can i just splice another one off of the one i have ran already?

any reason you want them in the back of the car? (imaging might go to shit depending on the answer to the second question) and what freqs are they going to be playing..(cancelation?)...?

so you're basically just wanting them for a midbass......

why not put them in the front?, w/ sound being stereo if they are right beside eachother in the middle of the car your imaging might get screwed (someone correct me here, i know that i don't remember everything about this, so someone step in)

hmm i dont really have much room for them in front,,.... doors are no option.... maybe a kick panel type deal.... i kinda like the idea of them in the location of the part that folds down in the backseat..... thanks for your opinion ill take all i can get

If you run them at anything more than 70-80hz, you'll be ruining your front stage. And your 12" should easily cover up to 80hz. Basically if you want a 3 way system using 700s as midbass, then they need to be up front. And if you want them for subs, then you don't really need them and the 12 both. It sounds like you want them for midbass, but the higher you cross them over at the worse it will sound.

I've seen plenty of reviews that they make very poor midbass. You may want to search on this forum for a review on these as midbass.

just put em in the back and use them as a dedicated sub.
