I can see using any type of sub, as long as your impedance will work. But the rest is retarded.I have built boxes for some extra subs I had around the house to use in my theater room. Worked well, but to buy/build just for that is a waste I think. Why a prefab box?
I agree on the sub part. It works very well in optimal enclosures. The price difference from home to car is significant though.I can see using any type of sub, as long as your impedance will work. But the rest is retarded.
Or you can buy a plate amp and run it to any car audio sub at the correct resistance like I do...it only cost me $150 as well, but iI get more power and better sound comparatively (M&K 275wrms amp, Boston G5 sub)Why do people do this? You can buy a decent home sub/amp combo for ~$150. You know, about of third of the cost of a good car audio amp, sub and DC power supply......................and it will PLUG INTO THE WALL.
