MDF takes a good bit of heat to catch fire and doesnt burn fast at all.

my buddy lost all 4 of his Orion 1200d's when his Solo X smoked... two fires on the forum in the past week? first Mike's cutlass flaming an MA amp and now this.. sheeit!

this sub has been installed in this box since 2002 it has changed cars and amps a couple times, but has been a beast for 9 years. I'm just curious how this happened?...

there actually was a box of cleaning supplies that had some sresol cans and stuff which was flamable but it didn't get close to it. I am 100% that the sub was the starting point. The only other burns are of course the carpet above the box and a few rubber drip burns on the carpet under the sub.
