My HCCA caught on fire!

I don't know what happened but my hcca caught on fire! Anyone heard of this? It didn't smoke it actually had 2 foot flames when I opened the trunk! This ***** really bad!

kicker kx1200.1 The amp was undamaged in the fire, so at least I didn't lose it all. But I wouldve rather lost the amp than the sub.

wow, that is crazy....was it a recone or HCCA?

Pull on the former(thing the coil winds around) and pull all that out and get a pic of that.

I have had this happen once in the lanes, but that was under extreme abuse and about triple or more of the "MAX" rated power the sub was supposed to see.

this was an hcca but nit the new school. It is the original hcca 12d. About 11 years old. I didn't even have it but about 33% of where I "show off". I was just cruising listening to the radio, wasn't even a song I liked or it wouldve been cranked louder.
