buying one of these in case the 10s behind my head ever decide to pull this on me

I've had one in my car since I was 16. Running these high power systems is actually mildly dangerous, sometimes they can fail catastrophically, as illustrated in this thread. You'd be stupid not to have a fire extinguisher, they cost like $20 and could be the difference between a burned up sub and a burned up car.

Actually come to think of it, how long do fire extinguishers last? Mine has to be pushing like 5-6 years now, might be time to replace it...

It should have some sort of expiration date on it, if not check the gauge and see where the needle is. Depending on the extinguisher and where it's been sitting how fast it expires can differ. I would change it every 5 years just to be safe.

it has a baseball sized area that the clear coat is orangepealed and a lil browned. It's not that noticeable really

there is about a baseball size area where the clearcoat is a little wrinkled and a light brown color. But it's not that noticeable really.

How in the **** did you not smell it or anything till you got home. I have had 2 fires in my trunk and i smelt and seen the smoke coming thru my wall.

It is a caddy and it has all that sound proofing and thick leather seats. It just didn't get in the cab of the car.
