At ECA, according to the AP guide, you're supposed to vent kicks directly out of the car, keeping the speakers face and vent on completely different planes.

Just venting them into the carpet would be the same as a normal kick, just with a FG membrane, possibly allowing for cancelation, etc?

Correct me if I'm wrong?

aside from that question [ iwch i thought about and i didnt say anything..] the camry has TONS of room.

his old car had pods on his doors for 8's and pretty big kicks, and i sat in it comfertably without even touching eaither one. i was amazed at how much legroom there was so i wouldnt be worried about his kicks. when i go down there ill have him take a picture of my feet in a comfertable position sitting in there. and im 6'2" so that will show you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

lol you dont have to vent outside of the car to be ib. technically speaking to be considered ib the enclosure only has to be bigger than?

the material they use to keep water out is called gortex (they use it in army boots)

Audiolife, so the membrane can vent in the same airspace as the surface of the cone? That will make me rethink my kicks for sure. If there's any more info you have about ap, feel free to share.
