My first try at Custom Glass box

For a first timer, thats absolubtly great! Looks like a professional job really.

Keep up the good work!

MORE PICS PLEASE //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

OK, I took it to the paint guy. I don't have enough time to get it GREAT. It looks OK. For my first time I think it turned out decent. It is not good enough to go with a dark color so I am going with metalic silver. Even with that it is kinda rough. If I had more time before SEMA I would spend more energy on it. Thanks for the support guys. I will post a couple pics when I get it back. If anyone is at SEMA, look for me in the Morrete USA booth. North Hall.

I put a crazy thick layer on in the pics cuz there were some pretty high spots with the Glass & I wanted the flexability to sand as I please to shape certain areas. I spent a bunch of time sanding with power sander & 100 grit disc. I did 2 thin layers after the one fat one. For anyone thinking of trying one of there, IT IS HARD! You have to be prepared to put in a ton of time. At least if you want something nice. I should have started smaller & worked my way up. That being said, it was a great learning experience. It will be a while before I try that again.

Wus, real men sand by hand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif , Of course most of them don't use that much bondo either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I like the sanding block much better than elec sander. I think its more exact and you can get more off using the block.

with the block theres a lot more room for error, you get that electro or pneumatic going and watch out, one bad move and youre back to rebondoing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif i need to get some flex disks for my pneumatic, anyone know if they sell them? but good job for your first box bro

that sander is like gods gift to men, maybe some women too.

Its so soft on my hands:inlove:

Btw, it was only $40 at Home Depot. That Wal-Mart price is way too high.

Well, I'm running mostly MA Audio setup. I am using a Fosgate to run the 6.5 separates (Model: MA629C). 2 Mono amps (MA Model: HK1000D's), One for each of the 2 12" (Model: MA1200XL). These will be in the box. They are Chromed.

As far as space, well, I kinda guessed. It will probably be a tad on the small side. Oh well.
