My first HUGE mistake

yeah well, i kinda rushed it and i accidently put the ground wire to the +12 and the +12 wire to the ground terminal ahahah, all the fuses on the amp popped. I felt kinda stupid, then i replaced the fuses, put the wires in the correct terminal and the amp was working flawlessly. i know at first i was like, WTF, all the wiring is fine, then i heard a few pops, i ran to my drivers seat turnned off my car, ran to the hood, disonnected the negative terminal as hella fast i could, and checked my wiring. I felt so stupid after seeing what i did

That's nothing... I did that 3 times. Blew 6 fuses before I realized what I was doing. Do to the way the amp was mounted I couldn't read the + - symbol on the amp, but I was almost 100% sure I had them wired right.

i think the last big mistake i made was when i was putting a fuse on the wire from the alt to the positive term of the battery and the direct connect on the wire fell on the negative terminal. There was a big *** pop and hella smoke. I gess since the alt was ground to the engine block the block took it or sumthin lol

i didnt switch the ground with the power, but i touched the power with the remote wire...the HU started to smoke.

I've done that before too. I blew 3 fuses before i relized what was wrong.. Fixed the wires put new fuses in and the hifonics amp started working like a champ! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
