It was my first attempt with fiberglass. It's far from perfect but I'm glad with the result.

I only have to carpet it now!!!

you should probably take the sub out and just reinforce the bottom... adding MDF to any extended flat parts in the FG is vital because the fiberglass will flex on areas like that..

you need to make it extra strong on the flat areas..

but real nice work.. I like it! very clean looking

Thanks guys!

And for the strenght point, I add duraglass (more than you can see on the pic with the ring mounted) and I covered the whole inside area with polyurethane (expansible foam) since I only neede 1 feet cube. I hope it will do its job.

My car is an rx7 and I wanted a clean look since I don't have any real trunk.

jesus that looks nice, i wish i could do that good on my first time. what sub is that anyways?
It's an Infinity reference 300 RMS - 1230 Peek, powered by an MTX 3002 (gives me 300 RMS when bridge at 4 ohms).

Yeah... it took me like 3 whole weeks. I finished university and, when I was not at job or on my bike, I was almost for sure working on that enclosure! I think it was worth the effort:D

We bought a big bucket of resin and a big roll of mat in a kind of ship shop in Lévis. For sure you could find something closer to Montréal.

definatly not a fan of the sub. but good work.
