hey guys,

just wanted to share my experiment with free wood on the ground and a semi broken sub. im a tight sucker when it comes to spending money on my play-around projects, so i used everything recyclabe i could find.

so this is my sub i got free from a friend. however the cone was a little beat up and all the VCs were electrical taped onto the push terminals so i did a really quick solder job.

i sealed all the pieces of wood with some primer sealer and urethane for the heck of it. i didnt have access to a camera at the beginning of the build, but this is when i started plugging the pieces on.

next i added a baffle in the front to flush mount the driver, also rounded the port exit.

then, i figured i can carpet the thing with the pieces i scooped out of a local dealer's trash can... the box has about 15 different pieces of carpet cut to fill in.

now to fit the speaker in. the baffle was a little tight because of the overlapping carpet i left, but it got in there.

truthfully it sounds perfectly fine to me (& ive been previously listening to a sealed 10w6v2 daily). and it will wang when i want it too. for 5/8", i doesnt really resonate too much so im happy with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
