Just be sure to take your time with the carpet, I think that's the hardest part of building boxes. My seams always look horrible, but then again I don't get much practice (I'm not an installer at work)

I would get 2.5 yards though, assuming that you get it the same width and everything else as I do. I get my carpet from a local shop (60" wide IIRC)

Regardless of what people might say, Walmart carpeting isn't good. It has a backing, and that doesn't allow it to stretch and mold like how caraudio guys need it.

I started and got my first "system" last year. I was 14, and i had my sisters old car sitting out in the driveway, aching for a transmission.
