My First Box, Please Help

I am building a sealed box tonight for an AA Arsenal. Haven't figured out the dimensions yet but will probably end up being about 1.2 cu ft. Could someone please tell me what kind of glue I need and that kind of stuff. Basically what I need from home depot?

Do I just need to use a lot of screws and wood glue or do I need something like silicone to seal it?

Seal the box with silicon, but hold it togaether with Titebind2 and screws...

okay then. assuming you have the power tools and clamps, you'll need a WOOD GLUE such as titebond or elmers and, to be on the safe side, a tube of silicone caulk for sealing.

If you take your time, you don't need any screws for box construction.

Besides what has been said I would also get some speaker sealing strips if your speaker doesn't have a gasket.

Then you can also get some poly fill if you want to make the box seem larger than it is.

Personally if I had enough clamps I wouldn't use screws at all. The screws actually don't hold the box together, it's the glue.

i have always used elmer wood glue...the wood will break before the seem will split.

as for sealing the speaker....window weather stripping (about 1/4" - 1/2" wide)...menards (you need to get the glue and mdf anyways)
