Well, been goin at it the past week. Almost done though. Holes were cut today, and put a second coat of paint on the top of the box after i took these pictures. Once i get the big 3 done in my SUV and make some kind of bracket to hold the kinetik 2400, it should be about done. Now the pics, i dont think i did too bad of a job seeing it was my first box. Did have some help from my dad and cousin tho, although my cousin is almost worthless //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif . Well, on to pics:

Each sub has its own chamber, 4 cubes @ 33hz

My first oops. I think my pilot hole was a little shallow

Middle of doing primer

The first coat of paint. Its a high gloss grey with a matte black port

Holes cut, awaiting second coat on the top of the box

Checking for fitting, and gettin a sample of what it looks like. My XX-herc will be mounted on top of the box behind the subs, next to the Alpine F250

Well, leave me your opinions! Since i painted it, i did all my sealing on the inside of the box, and used quite a bit of wood glue at the seams on the outside just in case. I almost painted the whole box black, but because i have grey interior i thought i would give grey a try first.

yeah i'll try to keep you guys posted. Hopefully everything will be DONE sometime saturday, if not friday night. All i got is a digital camera and not sure if it has a mic on it or not, but i'll try to get a vid up too.

one thing i havent solved yet is running the speaker wire. So far, my plan is to drill a hole into each side of the box, JUST big enough to where i can force the wire through, than silicone around the wire on the inside and out of box. Does this sound like an okay idea?

Sick box, I like the design of it. Ive seen a guy with (2) 18 BTLs use the same design in tahoe.

What kinda SUV is it going in?

Try to make a video if you can.

I have ran speaker wire outta a box the way you explained and it sealed perfect.

My $0.02 is to put a small terminal cup on each side. It makes for an easier removal if it ever becomes necessary. But, the method you mentioned will work well, also. Basically, it's personal preference. You'll find a way you like to run wire. Good luck!

heh i'll do my best to get a vid when its all done. This will be going in my Ford Explorer. I keep hearing they are similar to the tahoe when it comes to sound resonance. I had a Type-E 12" before this and it was pretty loud for just a type-E. Im really curious to see what kind of damage this is going to do.

Thanks for the info on the speaker wire too, gonna make my life a lot easier.
