My day *lots of pics*

My dad came up to me maybe 3 weeks ago and told me he had a friend who was sick and tired of the system in his porsche. He wanted it out, and was letting everything go for a pretty good price. He said he wanted the car 100% stock, so he told me I got to do the uninstalling.

Well I waited, and waited, and waited. My dad kept getting my hopes up saying he was going to bring Porsche home, which he didn't, about 6 or 7 times. FINALLLLLY he brought it this morning, I dropped him back off at work, and got the Porsche for the weekend.

I open the hood and find:

- Alpine nav system

- JL 350/2

- JL 250/1

- 2 JL Audio XR653-CS crossovers (which means there are matching speakers and tweets)

- Shit ton of wiring, including 2 small distro blocks and fuse

- Unsure of what its called, but it has all the RCAs, ipod cable, video cable, etc plugged into it.

In the back I find a custom made sealed box with 3 JL 8's in it.

and in the dash I find the Alpine flip out screen (with the nav feature included), and an in-dash dvd receiver.

I spent about 2-3 hours taking out all the wiring, the amps, the nav system, the crossovers, the subs, box, etc. It took a while cuz of how the amps were mounted, and the wiring was INSANE to get to. All in all, pretty fun. I had to work tonight so I didn't get to take everything out, but the rest is coming out tomorrow (in dash lcd, dvd receiver, and the thing i'm unsure of whats its called, plus a little wiring).

New headunit goes in tomorrow, its in the floor in a couple of the pics. Its the stock porsche headunit.

If you read, its not my car. There are 3 8s in it, and they sounded pretty good for being low end JL stuff off only 250 watts...

Not free... but it was a good *** price. Still have to pay someone to put in the headunit cuz im not ****ing up the car, and had to buy the headunit. I do headunits on my cars, that way if I **** it up I can't hold anyone else responsible. I won't work on a **** Porsche.

Technically buying it all, but my dad wants to buy some of it, and the rest will just be sold. He wants it gone and hes rich, so I can get an amp I can use for a great price... why not?

lol, it was a PITA to get the amps out how they were mounted.

not the worst ive seen by any stretch of the imagination though. a couple places near my house are REALLY sketchy and just leave wires hanging everywhere, and leave u with electrical problems and shit

Shit I don't care how bad the install was. i'd take the car any day. It sounds AMAZING, and I don't mean the sound system.
