My Civic hybrid 2009 instalation

I everyone, I will receive my new 2009 civic hybrid soon. this is a replacement for my 2007 civic hybrid, that I lost in a car crash.

For the head unit, I was searching for an RDS enable receiver, but it seem that High quality and RDS doesn't fit together in the same sentence. I wanted good quality sound that is mp3 ready and could be controlled from my steering wheel.

I was interested in a Nakamichi CD-500, seem to fit almost all my need but I don't think it's steering wheel controllable. So Finlay I think I will buy an CDA-9887 from alpine.

For the speaker I was really interested in Rainbow Germanium. The CS 465.25 kit was interesting, But it seem that I can only put 5.25 inch speaker in the rear. and this kit is 6.5 inch, perfect for the front , but bad for the rear //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I don't want to add an amplifier, as this seem to be a complicated task (re-wire the audio system and put the amplifier somewhere in the car. I don't think of adding a sub woofer, and the hybrid batteries behind the rear seat would be a problem for a sub.

If the car seem to originally come factory for 5.25 inch, is it possible to add 6.5 inch speaker? I was thinking of making the hole bigger, but maybe this is something I shouldn't do.

What do you think of my setup? I should change my mind on some of my choice?

P.S. I mainly listen to electronic music (Dance/Techno/House), Power/trash/dead Metal and classical/jazz.

trust me, if you are getting components like that, you are going to want and amp....

its like buying a rolls royce with the interior of a crappy old pontiac lol (ok maybe not that bad, but you get the idea lol)

What he said. No H/U will put out enough power to get some sound out of those speakers. Wiring up an amp is a simple task if you are already putting in speakers anyways. You can mount your amp under either of the front seats or put it somewhere out of the way in the trunk.

To fully appreciate a really good set of components they have to get loud enough for you to hear the details in the music the way they're meant to be heard. IT won't happen without an amp.

Goes more than just an amp. If you are spending that kind of money on the Rainbows, then I would spend some money on some good sound deadener. Check into cascade deadener or Hushmat for expensive deadeners, or I have had good results with cheap fatmat. Most people will steer you away from fatmat, but I have had nothing but good results with it. I have tried them all just about as well. If you have the money, then go Cascade.

Then lay down a layer or two in the inner and outer doors and use roof flashing for big holes and then deaden over that and viola, you should have some really nice sounding mid bass. The tweets I would try to do in the A-Pillars. Some serious work goes into that though, most times.

Good luck!
