Had a buddy who traveled to a BMW dealership in NJ to purchase a "pre-owned" Beamer to discover, while taking it out for a test drive, that it had spent some time underwater. I mean, they cleaned it all up good and all, but when you pull on the shoulder belts in the rear seats and dried mud and shit comes flyin' out...and shit is rusted like the cig lighter and such...gotta make a bro wonder. And the Carfax...no mention...shocka! Needless to say, my bro did not purchase.

Step 1 : get vin

step 2 : got to ebay.

step 3 : go start a car listing

step 4 : fill out all info

step 5 : go to last page before you hit "submit your listing". Hit preview your listing

step 6 : click on vehicle history report.

step 7 : enjoy

NOT every state is a Carfax reporting state.I live in Illinois,and it is not.So if a car lived it's entire life in this state nothing would show up...even if it was a flood car or in a fire.Check to see if your state is a carfax reporting state also.
