My Box port is not sealed all the way.. any effect on bass?

Its kind of hard to explain but i have a custom bandpass (7th order) with 2 12s. I just took my box out and saw the bottom of the port where its sealed with box is separated like its cracked.

I attached a picture to explain it all.

There is no psychical crack, just separated i guess.

Whats best to re-seal it? Silicone? Wood glue?

and does this crack have any impact on bass? port noise?

wood glue as much as you can, let it dry and then seal it with silicone.

I would scrape all of the old silicone away from that edge first. Next, run some wood glue in that seam and clap or screw it down. Then a bead of silicone to seal it up good. You may as well go all the way around that port rather than doing one edge now and possibly another edge later.

Yea i figured something of that sort.

Is there any type of specific wood glue i should use?

If not, i was going to go with gorilla glue since i have a bottle of that already.

I think Gorilla Glue expands as it cures. If you use it make sure you can clamp, nail, or screw down the joints while it sets up. Any wood glue would probably be better, the regular Elmer's wood glue is pretty cheap.

This, or sub-floor adhesive(Dap, GE, etc.). I have shirts 5 years old that have been washed 100 times that still have sub-floor adhesive on them, and I couldn't pick the stuff off if I wanted to...shit's crazy.

honestly, i would pull the port out and prep/inspect it. sand the surface good for adhesion. does this go in a crawl/blow through?

you must use some special liquid nails or something.

my single 15 on 1500 watts used to blow my liquid nail seams apart weekly.

rip of the corner of a piece of paper, put some titebond over the seam and using the paper, push the glue into the seam (like, so the corner of the paper goes in the seam itself).
