My Box plan for 2 RL-P 15's

what am i missing? here is my math:

net volume: 40.25 x 12.75 x 15 / 1728 = ~4.45cuft for first part

4.75 x 24.25 x 15 / 1728 = ~1 cuft for 2nd part

Together = 5.45 cuft

subtract sub displacments - .42cuft

net volume = 5.03cuft

Port length according to my program is 34.8 inches so I rounded up to 35 inches, which is the length of my port in the design.

If I'm wrong on something, please let me know so I can do it right next time.

I'm running 2 of the 15's each in 2.5^3 @30Hz. I went with 70^2 of port. Sounds VERY good. Plenty of SQ and they will get loud when pushed. Couldn't fit a single

5^3 box in the trunk. Also boxes are only 16" high, but the subs mounted fine.

RL-P's don't require as big of a box as most other subs. Also the lower tuning gives you the flatest response for SQ, but if you want more SPL maybe tune a little higher. You'll be very happy with them, NICE subs!!!

I calculated with 15" as being externel. so yes you math is right.

The tuning is closer to within 1 Hz, so I take back what I stated earlier:)

Here the numbers i'm working with :

Desired Net Volume: 5.45 cu/ft

Desired Box Width: 46.5 inches

Desired BoxHeight: 16.5 inches

Desired Tuning Freq: 27 Hz

SQ Vent Width: 4 inches

Wood Thickness: 0.75 inches

Width= 46.50 inches

Height= 16.50 inches

Depth= 19.00 inches

Port Length= 34.30 inches

Driver Volume= 5.42 cu/ft

Port Area= 60.00 sq/in

Tuning any higher is going to increase your box size.
