My Box plan for 2 RL-P 15's

Would anyone like to critique it? I know the tuning and net volume aren't perfect but is this plan good within reason?

Can you fit any taller in those Grand AMs? I was thinking about buying one.

Yes. The box is 16.5" tall.

This is actually for a friend. Grand am trunks are a biotch. The box I have now is 13.5 tall, 23 wide, and 26 deep and that's about as big of box that will fit.

Overall height inside is right around 15.5" on my grand am

Maybe im missing something...but im getting 5.8 cubes tuned to 26hz

im thinkign that internal volume is VERY small for those subs. they should see 6+ together.

Soundsplinter reccomends 2.5-3.5...I say make the port a bit shorter...Increase the tuning a bit and gives the subs more room....

I don't really see the purpose on tuning that low

I have never seen someone build a box where the left side and right side had different dimensions. Not that that is wrong, just different

I was only going off of soundsplinter's website on tuning, net volume, and port area.

How would 30hz do for tuning if 28hz is too low?

I get 5.04 cu/ft wo driver displacment @ 26.30 Hz.

With the same externel parameters try this:

Desired Net Volume: 5.42

Desired Box Width: 46.5

Desired BoxHeight: 15

Desired Tuning Freq: 32

SQ Vent Width: 4

Wood Thickness: 0.75

Width= 46.50 inches

Height= 15.00 inches

Depth= 19.00 inches

Port Length= 20.16 inches

Port Area= 54.00 sq/in

This is more like net of 5 cu/ft @ 32 Hz
