My Boss phantom subs blew out my windshield!

I hooked up my two 12" Boss phantom subs to my Boss 5500 watt amp and daamn it was loud! At volume 3 I couldnt breathe and at volume 5, it cracked my whole windshield. Who else has experience with this as well?

Well yeah, I got a lot of people saying they were loud and that it cracked their windows but I never believed them until I tried it myself. Theyre freakin loud!

I didn't have the adapter that plugs into the cig lighter, so I shoved the same diameter copper slug into it and soldered the wires onto the copper slug.

it looked something like this, but without the steel part.

I was going to same the same thing, LOl you hear those claims on CL all the time. Plus their system was metered at 180db buy it if you want the loudest setup, HA!
