still not completely done. I have to run a 0 ground off the negative post to the chassis. i have the 0 guage cable and everything I need, but I just haven't done it yet.

How do yellowtops work as starting batteries? I have one that I want to use as trunk battery, and I was going to add it, but I highly doubt I will need it after deciding on my new amp.

Maybe I'll just throw it under the hood and run it as my starter...let me know. Thanks.

they work just fine for starting...altho the red tops are designed as starter batts.

it works perfectly as a starter battery. no need for a red top at all.

why would it do that? It's not laying on the engine.

I have a fused distribution block installed in the trunk as well.

lol yeah. I just bought this car about 3 months ago. First thing I did was have all the maintenance done on it and clean the interior, (removed all the seats etc, completely cleasned the carpet and interior.) Then I started building this sytem I have now.

I will clean the engine.

the person that owned it before me was a f*ing pig and it doesn't seem they EVER cleaned the car. inside or out.

he says that because they are known to do that with 1/0 big 3 upgrades over time thats why most people use fuses.

oh ic. well I'm using fuses as well. Like I said.

Thats a 150amp breaker and at the other end of that 0 guage is a Stinger fused distribution block with two 150amp midi fuses.

If you hid those speakers that would be a very clean looking install.

And Yellow Tops are fine as a starter, just be sure you get one that fits you CCA needs. I have one under my hood and have never had a problem.
