Well I have a dead fosgate P4002. One of the mosfet chips (75344G) on the outer board went bad. I took the amp apart and attempted to remove the bad ic but I may have damaged the board in the process. My question to anyone who may know is on this particular chip is there a connection underneath or is it just the 3 prongs. From what I've read I have come to the conclusion that there is a connection but i'm not sure.

I've located the manufacturer, Fairchild Semi, but they are currently out of stock and most places want you to order in bulk. If I find a place the will either sell or send me a sample of one it should only cost me around $5.

Is it worth it or should I just trash this amp.

i don't think you knew enough to attempt amp repair judging from what I've seen and read. Either send it in to a qualified repair place or trash that one and buy a different amp.
