My Amp rack Idea Chrysler 300C PICS

Hey guys I was thinking of this idea for an amp rack. I threw this together tonight I was just wondering how to mount it? Anyway, do you like the idea?

I was thinking it would be floating, and I think I would do the medium to light gray vinyl since I have some (the amp is a flat black Zapco 6 channel 24" long) and the trunk will be a darker grey carpet. I also have some black carbon fiber vinyl that I could use, but I thought with the amp being black, that might be too much black?

I would prolly raise the amp a lil, and run the wires underneath, then hide them in a tube out one side under the carpet.

The other option is easier, and it would save room, but be kinda boring... It would rest in the spare tire well (300C SRT does not have a spare).

Anyway, let me know what you think!

Gotta love the factory battery in the trunk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

My LS is the same way, makes it very easy to run power wire, until you do the "big 3" that is

Are you gonna fiberglass or do a panel like this. to hide all your wires and what not.

*edit Didnt see that you said floating in the first post. Just throwing an idea out there.

Change of plans, that takes up too much room...

By the way!

I FINALLY GOT TO LISTEN TO IT! Subs and all! Holy cow I love the sound. There is no vibration which is what I was DREADING. I really really thought it would shake the rear deck, and it does not.

I am running a ZAPCO 650.6 on the whole system. The way I have it set, the power is about 180w x 2 on the fronts, and says 500w x 1 on the subs. I have the gain down for the subs. Man what a clean *** amp, I love it. And the reason I started the build was lack of midbass... Well I fixed that LOL. There is TONS. And I cant tell where the bass is coming from. I have to look at the rear deck to be sure the woofers are moving.

Only thing I am not all that excited about is the stage is low due to the kick panels. I have not touched the EQ or time alignment and there are 100s of settings with the PC program that it comes with. I cant wait to mess with it!

Not bad for a first try! I like it.

I just finished the amp rack, well mostly. I have some very dark gray trunk liner carpet I am using, and also I have some light color vinyl and some carbon fiber vinyl. Hmmmmm not sure what to use on the pieces.

Nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif !

after seeing this... I might just have to make me a false floor..

Been looking for ideas to place my amps

I wanted to keep my spare tire in, but it seems unlikely, if I want to have trunk space

Amps > spare tire! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif
