round port question

Ports to small. I used the 3" recommended from the Alpine site for my 10" Type R and I had a lot of port noise. I changed to a 4 inch and adjusted the length and am pleased with the result.

Using the Calculator here http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31

I came up with a port length of 15.5" for a 4" port. The calc on top recommended a 6" port for your sub but the port length would have to be 37". You will have a hard time getting all that port in your box.

Remember you have to add the port displacement and the woofers displacement to the 1.5 cubes so you have the correct final volume for your enclosure.

You could also play with the calculator and put yourself in a square/rectangle port. May be a little easier to incorporate that into your box.
