My amp is getting really HOT!!!

as long as its not shutting off dont worry about it. Untill then their is no problem. My Rf sub amp runs hot, but thats a design to pull heat awsy from the circuit board and put it in the heatsink where it should be.

You could turn the music down HAHAHAH who the hell would do that? Get a class D amp they run cool all the time. If not do what Jack Frost said the computer fans are quiet, cheap, and move a good amount of air for their size.

still depends on what amp you're talking about...Rockfords and some JBL's are true BBQs...you can cook steaks on them. Not to say those amps are bad, because they aren't - they just tend to run hot and you have to take that into consideration when installing them (i.e, don't install them inverted, don't block their heat sinks).

My PG Tantrum 1200.1 has a fan built in, and it still gets somewhat hot running at full power. That's normal.

Figure out where your amp usually runs at, so if it gets hotter than normal one day, you know that something may be amiss...

Look there for fans, I spent 4x as much shipping them than spending money on the fans. $1 for fans, $10 to ship them both. Ground them, then relay them through the remote wire for power and you're set. Both my fans run off my remote wire and they light up my trunk bright blue alongside my Hifonics amp. Really cool shit.
