Why not go used. If u are using ur sh it right, its not gonna blow or screw up. There is so much u could read and learn here. Next time look around and ask questions, ppl no there stuff and will answer straight up. 1 15 in a ported box with 1000-1500 will be louder than ur 3 subs. Im not tryin to put ur system down, but theres better out there.

anyone could of done that. i could of bought a '1500' watt rms powerbass crap amp for 200-300 dollars and went n bought 100 dollar diamond audio no namer subs for 70 a piece and put 6 of em and build a wall box for 200-300. u get what u pay for.

Hahahahahaha...you're a funny guy. Just because you got mediocre subs and a shitty box, don't get butthurt when someone with a more impressive system comes along.

the prices on these items retail for MUCH more than what i paid for. the amp retails for 1000 itself. the subs retail for aboout 200-220 a piece. and i asked around 3-4 shops around my town and they said theyd charge me well over 300-350 to build a box like that.

Retail price doesn't matter...some day you'll learn that, maybe when trying to sell that "$1000 amp" you'll see that it's only worth a fifth of that used.

I dont mess with used items or ebay items. half the stuff is refurbished or damaged. i have a one year warranty, i have already had a problem with one of the subs and he replaced it next day.

You can get a warranty from many ebay stores...not to mention there are some companies (KnuKonceptz, Cadence, CDT, Image Dynamics, eD, etc.) that have ebay stores in which you can buy directly from them that way.

The fact that you had a problem with the sub after just one day should make you worry. The guy builds you a crappy box, and you have issues with a sub after just one day...makes him look like a bad installer.

I've owned over close to 200 subs/amps/radios/speakers total in the past 5-6 years and have had NO issues with ANY of them.

i didnt post this thread to prove that mysystem is better than anyone. if ugot something better than more power to u brotha. i dont compare myself to none of u. calm down with the flaming too god dang. just because u have a huge post count doesnt automatically mean u know everything. and everyone has talked their fair amount of sh it especially the people that live here but oncethey listen to it they shutup..lol....

do some reseach and figure out the difference in cone area between three 12's and one 15. It's not 36 inches vs 15 inches. Thats the difference in diameter not cone area.

Here i'll help you. To figure out cone area of a sub you multiply the radius(half the diameter) squared by pi. For a 12 it would be 6x6x3.14 which equals 113 square inches, then multiply that by the number of subs, which is three. So you have a total of 339 square inches of cone area vs one 15 which has 177 square inches of cone area. So you can see you definately have a cone area advantage over one 15, however three 12's vs two 15's. According to you that would be 36 inches vs 30 inches giving the cone advantage to the three 12's, however you have 339 square inches vs two 15's which have 354 square inches. So you can see two 15's have more cone area than 3 12's. Thats how you determine cone area for subwoofers, now square subs are different, for determining cone area, you multiply the sides, so a 12 in solo L7 has a cone area of 12x12=144 square inches.

there is nothing wrong with the equiptment...the Crown amps

are some of the best car amps ever built and JBL has been winning

all the big SQ/SQL comps for years

maybee he paid to much for his JBL stuff "I know I did"

although the enclosure is really wrong...I could make 2 of them subs

slay the current set up ...

you need the port area with JBL subs...my two 10" subs are running

about 60sq inches of port area in a common chamber enclosure and I can

move the side veiw mirrors on the doors 1/4" with double drumming

(BPX 2200.1 and two W10gti subs)

they will be haters no matter what. some of the things people are saying here make sense. im not ignorant nor arrogant. thats why i came into these forums i want to learn and hope to give back in return. Its just seems like some people just come to flame i mean take it easy a bit geez

I dont think anyone is exactly "hating" on you, more or less just trying to push the facts. Some do it harsher than others but its all in the name of trying to help someone out. Good luck to you sir
