my 2500d keeps cutting off! HELP

just got my 2500d put in today along with my two h2 15's and whenever i turn the volume up past a certain point the amp cuts out and then comes back on in a few seconds. it's in a 02 honda civic. i am running 0 gauge split into two 4 gauge wires for both the grounds and battery on the amp. the subs are wired to 0.5 ohm. i have double check all w iring including the subs and alln wiring is perfect. i even switched out the rcas to see if that was the problem. any ideas? also when the volume is at 0 and the amp is on i get a faint noise coming from the subs, it is real high pitched. anyone got any ideas?
could be too low of a load, could be voltage.

I vote for a little bit of both.

You're a moron...
Turn it down, and upgrade your electrical.
playing the system with the car off would have no effect on the alt to battery conncetion and the chassis to engine connection. it is turned down, b/c i can't turn it up:furious:

Playing it at .5 ohms with the car off, with a single wet cell battery is stupid. You have low voltage.

Shut the hell up, and read a book.

It seems like the amp is going into a protection mode for a second because the voltage is dropping too low. That is because you dont have the electrical system to supply it. I would first turn the gains down to save anything from happening then I would invest in a ho alt and a second battery. Or risk the chance in having something happen to the amp or anything else for that matter.

Fast story that happend to me when I was a newb. I was going to show off had 2 large amps, stock alt and bat. I crancked it up to show off to some people and they were older kicker 500si. So what happend is when it didnt get enough power from my bat, it some how fried my hu as well. Like it just sucked everything at that second when I cranked it, I had 2 amps hooked up they were smoked along with the hu.

lol...so you don't have a complete Big 3 done, you have a stock alternator, and a stock battery?? and your trying to push an amp at 0.5 ohms daily...?? you just solved your own problem riight there...

This stopped that problem for me and it was a total of 3 bat's and I still had some faint dim but nothing like it was with one.

btw, I ran the amp at .5 with one battery and stock alt... and yea, it would cut off playing music at a certain point. If you have a rise to below approx 1.5 ohm, its gonna do that no matter what your voltage is.

i have a new battery. does the amp have low voltage protection? could it be that when the voltage drops, the remote wire does not have enough voltage to keep the amp on?

yeah but it cuts off b4 it even gets loud. you say it would cut off on music but how about test tones? from what i ahve read ont he forums, everyone said the 2500d was .5 ohm stable daily

i read that the voltage is a problem, now i am asking if the amp will turn off on test tones the way it does on music
in your setup probably.

Its only stable with most setups at .5... as I said, if you don't have much rise, your not going to get much out of the amp.

That coupled with voltage is your issue, tones or music, its gonna cut off.

If its not "loud" its because your setup isn't effeciantly using the power available. 2 15's, you shouldn't need much to get "loud".
