My 1st Setup!

well just finished ordering my 1st audio setup. Consists of:

1- '05 12" Alpine Type R (dual 2ohm)

1- Orion 600d (Refurbished)

1- Audio Pipe 4 guage amp kit

This just is the bass part. I plan on getting some Mb Quart, Focal, or maybe some Rev Series for the mids n highs.

oh yeah, the enclosure will be ported. What should i tune it to?

Anyone with a similar setup that has a ported enclosure and would like to hook me up with their tuning would be great!

Again....this is my 1st setup and it may be one of the best "1st" setups i've seen around these forums (IMO //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif )

This is going into a F-150 ext cab, will be sitting on top of the back seat. Alpine suggests 1.0-1.75 cubes. Should i get a box closer to 1.0 or 1.75? How should i position the sub? Firing up? Towards the dash? To the side? Towards the back window?

I would probally aim towards around 1.5 ft^3. As for positioning, it'll take some playing around with. I've never dealt with installing in a truck so I really can't tell you which way is best.

What are you getting MacBeth? I thought my KX600.1 and 12" L5 was a pretty nice first setup imo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Hey zimmer just make sure you got that box wedged in tight between the front and back seats so that it won't vibrate too much or fly around if you get in an accident.
