just a FYI for anyone that has to deal with one of these cars, a potential problem when installing an aftermarket deck. the subs in the doors both have amps in the drivers kickpanel. metra makes a harness to adapt to these, i believe it is a 70-5521. the 2nd plug in there goes to the factory sub/amps. don't know how common it is, the lincoln mark LT worked just fine plug and play. the mustang shaker 500, the subs would pop badly when you turn the car on, or the deck on. i put a 5.6k resistor inline with the remote turn on lead going into the factory harness, and the pop was eliminated. i guess it was just too much voltage kicking on the factory amps, and caused a bad pop. you could also use a pulse timer/relay combo and delay the signal from going into the factory amps by about 4 or 5 seconds and that also would work, because once they are turned on you could plug in the rca's and it was fine. but a resistor on the remote turn on lead is much easier and cheaper //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
