I use Ares Lite because I'm on a college network and most programs (i.e. limewire, winmx, kazaa, etc.) go through the wrong port and the bandwidth is limited. Ares Lite knows what port to go through and your bandwidth is rarely limited.

I highly recommend iTunes for media playback.

This is true, i also use ares lite....as well as itunes for media player. Also, anyone on our school's network that is using itunes...and is online...i can view their entire library. I usually have anywhere from 2-8 people's libraries to browse as well as my 250 gigs of just music. peace

How does that work?

Well Bulldog Senor,

If you're on a shared network of, say, 200 users (which I am), you can recommend people to use iTunes because of its music sharing capabilities, i.e. going upstairs and telling your buddies to get on it so you can listen to their stash. If you download iTunes and you go to preferences, sharing, and select Share My Music, then everyone has listening access to your music.

Another great program to go along with a shared network with a few dozen users on iTunes is OurTunes. There are a bunch of other ones (MyTunes, etc.), that do the same thing, and that's allow you to download music from anyone who is sharing it on iTunes. Big deal, one would say, I can download music on the internet. However, downloading music over a shared network using OurTunes goes exponentially faster than over p2p internet-based programs. I usually can get 1 song in less than a second, and you can select multiple songs at once so it just downloads them in order. Yesterday someone downloaded my whole library (about 7,000 songs and 30 gigs) and it took no more than a couple hours.

I have began going on a hellova spree ever since I found a forum where major sharing goes on. No waiting, no fuss, no muss & no evidence.

Full albums in a pack & before their release dates. You gotta love it.
