Multiple Subwoofers

If you have 8 subwoofers, and they require 1.5-2cu.ft each. Is it better to have 1 big box or 2 seperate boxes for them.

Why one big one I always thought that seperate boxes that share a front and back wall would be better unless your tight on space because its stiffer and the individual subs wont interact with the subs around them.

What are you thinking of btw

right now i have 8 12's in 2 seperate boxes, and i would like to get more bass out of them. each box is 8 cu.ft with 10"x10"x13" ports
