Multiple inputs to one amp.

Hi, I need help wiring up an amp I just bought.

I have a pioneer head unit, but also want to be able to use an mp3 also. I have tried using the fm transmitters but they usually blow *** and give horrible sound quality.

How can I have it so I can switch between two inputs without having to physically move wires. (i have a cable that goes from the headphone jack to rca)

Get a newer headunit.

What model is yours?

The model I have is the DEH-1500: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support/CarAudioVideo/In-Dash/CD-Players/ci.DEH-1500.Support

Would it work if I had just the mp3 player going to the rca input on the amp and say screw the head unit temporarily?
