Muffler Too Loud! Help!

I recently purchased a Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler for my Maxima.

I read that its one of the quietest performance mufflers around.

I have a Y-Pipe, Magnaflow Hi Flow Cat, and 2.5" from the cat back.

The problem is that this muffler is just too loud!!!

I have a resonator on my B-Pipe.

How can I silence it? Would a universal tip help?

get used to it or go back to stock, i run a flowmaster 40 with no resonator, a highflow cat and headers and im not complaining.. maybe that means im a redneck? I even ran with no muffler for about two weeks while i was waiting for my flowmaster to come in

There are no performance mufflers that are as quite or quiter than stock. Switch back or get used to it like astyl said.

the muffler I had before was a perfommance muffler....it was pretty quiet

of course...it wasnt quieter than stock (never said that BTW)

Just get a stock muffler and get a intake.. the front end sound should be enough to tickle your noise fancy

I dunno how the sizes match up but you might look into something like the OEM muffler that would come on a 350z or G35 coupe. Those have a unique sound and aren't obnoxious.

serious??? i have a super turbo on my mustang and its super-quiet... like u cant tell its not stock at all.. i do have the stock cats tho so maybe thats why

wow cops don't like a loud muffler by you slammed? that sucks. here in Tx if they were picky you'd see people pulled over on every corner lol.
