Mtx Wiring Help Awg Jl I Need Help!!

I recently bought a MTX TA4501 which is capable of 500 rms at 2 ohms. I am going to use this to push 2 JL 12w6's. First off i have to use a line in converter to get my preamp outputs to connect to my amp. I dont want to change my headunit in my car. I guess my real question is i ordered a scosch 8 AWG wiring kit. Will 8 awg wiring kit work with my setup? What would be the reprocutions? Also what would the benefits of a capacitor be in my setup? Please i need help!

8 gauge can handle up to 100 amps. You are right at borderline for running 8 gauge, it is recommended you run 4 for this setup. The only thing I would do if your definatley going to run 8 is upgrade to a Stinger AGU fuse holder because I used the same Scoche kit on my first setup and the fuse holder was made poorly. I don't think it would be dangerous because I ran around 700 rms on 8 gauge, but it would cut out a lot and was run at around 10 feet. Again, you may have problems with the wire heating up and even corroding, best bet it to move to 4 gauge. A capacitor dosen't really have many benefits except for vehicles where the voltage spikes. Most people just use it for the digital voltage read-out.
