Mtx Subs 6000 or 8000

hey i have mtx mono tri sub box but cant decide if i want to put the 6000 or 8000's in. The 6000 handle 500 watts each and with the 3 that would be 1500watts. Which i thought would work great with the mtx 8500D amp i want but would the 8000 still sound better even though they werent being pushed to there full.

The 3 of them would need 3000watts which is double and since its a mono box i think i can only put one amp on it, right?

What do you think would sound better and would it even be worth it to spend the extra on the 8000's. Or is there something else i could even do?

please help me out here, im drivin myself nuts
