MTX or Alpine Subs?

my comp froze and sent the info twice and type s 10" ers can get loud i can now safley say cause i have 2 with only 150 going to each and it booms like hell

bass_mekanik, would the type-s 12 give me sound or anything? What kinda amp are you running your type-s off of? I was thinking about getting 4 alpine type-s 10's or 12's and running them 2 per jbl p180.2 or 2 jbl 300.1? Any ideas on any other amps that would help me good and keep the cost down please?? I dont want to spend more than 140$ each amp. Anybody out there got an EQ'S they want to get rid of talk to me please!!

it is the amp as posted in my sig but in 2 channell mode it can make 146 wrms when the voltage is stable at 12.4V at 14.4 it does around the 170W mark

the 12's will pound good with around 300 rms into them that is what beatha is running into 1 12 and it sets of car alarms within 30 meters but the 10's i wouldn't feed them more than 200rms cause mine is close top the excursion limit but 2 10's is loud for the price and power but for spl 4 12's any day for me

Hey Man,

thanks so do you think 4 alpine type-s 10 with 2 jbl 600.1 would be good or to much power?? What about 2 jbl 300.1???

What's the difference in spl and sq between the type-r and the type-s. I just installed the type-r 12" and it gets loud but not that loud. Maybe it's not broken in yet. Does the sub change allot when it's broken in, and how long does it take. Does any one know?

I dont think there is much difference, maybe the type-r has a little more spl and sq and it hold more power, but for the price the alpine type-s is not bad either. I would say it should be broken it in about 48 hours if its played at low/mid volume for at least 3 hours each day?? I could be wrong get other opinions.....
