I bought a mtx thunder 81000D amp today. They guy at the store told me it would run 3 12'' thunder 6000 easy. After looking over the manual, it said not to run three 4 ohms subs....either run 2 or 4 @ 4 ohms.

the subs are 4 ohms btw...

I was thinking about hooking up 2 of the subs like normal and then bridging the 3rd. I asked around and have been told it would work fine, and it would burn up the amp.

So should I do what I was thinking or get a new amp?

Anyone know of a good amp that would run 3 12'' @ 4 ohms without pissing on itself?

it does not matter about the # of subs you run, it all depends on the load (ohms),

If that is a mono amp then it is probably stable at 2 ohms mono and if you have three 4 ohm svc subs that gives it a 1.33 ohm load wired in parellel, if your amp is stable at 1 ohm mono this would work.
