Yes it does depend on the install, but i would choose a MTX 9500 over a L7, even Steelcitysounds tested poweracoustik MOFOs against the L7s both 15s and the MOFOs got louder, looking for the video now on realmofexcursion, not saying th L7 is a bad sub, but for everyday abuse the MTX i think would beat the L7 i never had good luck with my L7s or SOLO Xs, didnt do what i wanted them to do, do get loud tho!!

you must have been doing something wrong cuz my 15 inch L7 is loud as fvck, but when you buy one be ready to sound like *** cuz they are for getting loud and thats about it.

I have heard that they get extremely loud in huge boxes, but his box isnt big at all.
