Mojos are very capable subs in the right install and proper power, however, with the MT being more of an SPL sided sub, MTs would be louder with a lot of power and a good install, Mojos are also good SPL subs too, so it would be a tight match.

You people are nuts. lmao

You run 'SPL' subs, mainly for bragging rights imo, get minimal output gains over more daily subs (that still get loud) and then convince yourselves they sound 'good'. If you are gonna run straight SPL subs in a high tuned box so they 'wang', at least have the balls to admit it sounds like *** while doing it.

Install is what will make or break your system, whether or not you beat your bro. The brand name on the dust cap is a MUCH smaller factor.

not really much SQ in rap music.

i just got a MT 18 that i'll be putting in my ranger within the next week on an autotek mm3000.1 @ .5 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif just get a good frontstage...

Sure, if your music is already a one-note-wonder, knock yourselves out. For the rest of us who like to be able to play complex bass lines, a serious SPL driver for a daily system is not practical.
so which sub do think will get the job done?

so do the mt's sound worse than L7's
This thread is getting filled up with generalizations (myself included). Again, as I said before, the INSTALL will be the key factor, not which brand name you chose. If I were you, Id look at a more practical daily driver sub (even RE will/would tell you MT's are not designed for daily) with lots of potential (HD3, 9100, 3500, XXX, etc). Chances are you do NOT have to chose a raw SPL driver in order to mutilate your bro's install. Make a smart choice on the speaker (not just the biggest baddest one you can buy) and really invest some time into getting the install/box/tuning/etc just right. That is a much better recipe for success than simply buying an SPL driver and stuffing it into your trunk.

Call me silly, Id prefer a daily system that will get 95% as loud as that SPL oriented system, yet maintains awesome SQ the whole time its doing it. That was/is the idea of these 'SQL' supersubs on the market today. But it seems for many people, even that is not enough, they need that extra 5% output while totally sacrificing SQ, but still return here to tell us how 'good' it sounds. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
