Call me silly, Id prefer a daily system that will get 95% as loud as that SPL oriented system, yet maintains awesome SQ the whole time its doing it. That was/is the idea of these 'SQL' supersubs on the market today. But it seems for many people, even that is not enough, they need that extra 5% output while totally sacrificing SQ, but still return here to tell us how 'good' it sounds. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

the dd 9500's will do good for daily imo, wont sound like a mag or anything, but for people that don't play alot of complex bass lines they will do fine and sound 'good', I would never run the mt's daily imo... If I had to have something like that I would just get the btl, but I still think the 9500 would sound better....
I don't think the thread starter has ever heard mt's or an even a mag or idmax, I think if he did he would get one, off one autotek 3000 I would run 2 mags or 3 idmax's if I wanted to get loud, and if I had more power I'd get 9500's... It's all personal preference and if the soul purpose is to get loud and he has to have the mt's he should have at least 2500 watts each for it to even benefit much over some other better suited woofers like the old xxx's or 9500's..
i want something to equal what my brother have or louder

i ran them daily before.

sounded fine to me. all he wants is to get louder than his brother.

whats your car and budget, and his whole setup?

its be funny if you could get louder w one siub.

I mean that should not be too hard if you set it up correctly, I bet money you could get louder with 2 dd3500's and 4000 watts or so.. hell even 3000 like him. I mean the mt's arent going to be much good to you if your only putting 1500 watts to each, you'd be better off getting some more efficent woofers. There are many possibilities, but also what is your brothers box tuned at, and do you want to be louder to the ear or on the meter. IMO I would rather be just as loud and sound good while doing it, but I am werid and I think the dd's 9500 series sound good. I heard a mag on rock music and it was really nice, but I don't listen to rock, so I would not say I am not the person to ask when it comes to SQ (too you, not to a judge they know what subs should do and how to judge they're sq) but I heard some mt's and they did sound like one note wonders... Even if you listen to rap I think you would be better off with more effiecent "sql" style woofers with that kinda power... Really you should try and meet up with people that run all these woofers like re's dd's si's and everything else, see what they are running and how you like the sound and they pick what you like. Everyones different, I had a avalanche which is a pretty highly reguarded sq woofer, and I liked my destroyer more and the 9515 even more in sound... Its all personal preference, but I really think you will see how the mt's sound like "one note wonders". Even though XBL 2 subs like the xxx's and avalanches are very accurate some people don't care for the way they sound. That's why I say you go hear all of these subs set up right before you make your mind up based off of what you hear on the internet...

I also think people should focus more on front stage and eqing before they go out and get woofers, and focus on the SQ of the subs, while they run stock front stages....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

speaking of....i did that to my froint stage.

whats subs can u compare those sq wise?
i had w1's,w3's,w4's, brahma's, hcca's, & se's. the brahma's by far had the best sq, the jl's the worst.

but like other's have said, what car and budget? you could possibly run a 1 sub set-up and be louder and sound better.

well i have $2500 i dont want to spend more than $600 per sub, i would like to have a apir of dd9515's but i cant find any in that price range..........any dealers on here that can cut a pretty good deal, but anyway what do people mean by one note wonders? I read on the RE form that a guy said that the MT's are efficient, and my car is in my avatar i was looking at the MX first but i saw that the mt are the same price so i started looking at those just to have more output

a teammate of mine runs 2 15 mt's with some serious power to them. There tuned

low (he peaks at 35hz) and it really sounds alot better then expected. They do get

stinky but thats full tilt for 20+ minutes.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

well im planning on running them at 2000+ watts
thats fine. friend used a zx2500 on each @ .7 if i remember right. 2500+

its all honestly going to be in the install. I think the BTL's can be had for cheaper and are essentially the same.

typically the lower you tune, the flatter the responce, the better the sq...

and honestly, if all you listen to is rap, SQ doesn't mean anything... sounds like the MT is the way to go for you...
