MT for daily?

i want something a little louder than My XXX, would a MT 15 be a good bit louder t ear, i will not be competing, now MT 15 in 4.5-5 cu ft box tuned to 33hz or so off a power acoustik a3000db, its either 400$ for a 15 or maybe if i feel like giving up space, a 18:veryhapp: , or who knows for a new XXX or MX, i really wish RE would give some prices because i have no idea which setup, i really dont need all the sq the XXX has so im thinking going MT who knows

do it....its plenty loud and has decent sq in the right box..i dont know if it would be louder than a xxx becasue ive never heard a xxx but it gets really loud.

For a daily driver some people find the MT lacking too much in the SQ department, but if done correctly it can sound good. I would tune the box lower, say 28Hz, just to get a nice bit of SQ from this massive SPL sub...

In actuality however, I would work with what you have at the moment. A 15" XXX has the potential to get plenty loud for a daily driver. Possible you should look into a different enclosure for the XXX?

A lower tuning is louder to the ear, and this is a non competition vehicle, so why sacrifice SQ for a higher score on the mic?

And have you heard an MT? They have the ability to be extremely loud, a low tune will not make this sub have a huge loss in output...

yes i have two mt's....pm moe lester about a box since he pry has more experience with them than most people that will answer have.

MT's work perfectly fine for daily. I recommend 4.5 cubes NET, tuned to 33hz, with 90 square inches of port, and 2000++ rms. You'll be AMAZED...it is...REDICULOUS.

I love mine, had a modded 1501d on each coil...now I have an IA 20.1 on it @.35ohms.

MT's sound perfectly fine for daily, the daily SQ is...fine. People just don't get it.

is that what box you have yours in? and yes one gets stupid loud if you let it. Ive been thinking about selling my 12 and my 18 and geting two 15's and now you've encouraged me with that size of box....thats going to fit perfect in my chevy ext. cab truck.

i liked my mt's daily...im guessing the people who say they sound bad, have never really heard one.

Had them in 14.5^3's @ ~33-35hz w/ ~5k on the pair..was happy with the performance
