Moving to a single 15

^^^ This.... Part of the way to get higher SPL numbers is by tuning your box closer to the tone you are trying to hit with. Low tuning and low tones take lots of power and cone area to make high numbers. Higher tuning and higher tones take less power and cone area, in general...
With 2500RMS and 2 12's.....you should easily be doing in the mid 140's by now. I have about 1000 going to my 2 old *** PG subs and I'm in the low 140's and tuned to 31hz.
umm i wouldn't say you have to have alot of cone area and alot of power in order to hit good numbers with low tuneing...

with the right enclosure (which he already stated he would be getting from rabbit)... he has plenty of power and sub to hit 145. IDK what you guys are talking about... cone area really isn't everything. your enclosure plays just as much a part of it.

It really depends on the vehicle too. If you have a small cab, like a pickup or CRX then No you don't need a lot of cone area or power (by today's standards) to hit a 145 in the low 30's.

I dare you to find a larger vehicle like a SUV or van running just one 15" sub and hitting a 145 in the low 30's on 2.5Kw....... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I hit a 145.2 with the set up in my sig. My box is 4.5 tuned ~38. It's great for my daily set up.

One idea you could do is see if rabbit could design a box with aeros that you could plug for daily and unplug for burping. If that makes sense! Lol.

one of my team mates had a explore with two 12 inch hd's pulling a 47-48 average on music. i know that that is more cone area than a 15 but still that is an average over 30 seconds on music
