Moving away from Kicker L7s....

......I have 4-12s in more than 10 cubes ported, each with its own zx750 in a quad cab truck. I bought what I thought I wanted. Well, its too **** loud and violent. Ok, maybe not too loud. I want more SQ now. Any suggestions on a nice SQ sub? I'm considering the Polk SRs to compliment my Polk mids/his. Part of me says, "Go bigger." I've looked at Orion HCCAs, SoloXs, W7s, Mojos.... you know, just for fun.

2 15" S.I. Mag's on roughly 2k rms would be a nice switch

Im doing pretty much the same thing and kind of for the same reason. My L5's are loud and I love it, but it doesnt give me enough SQ. The SPL factor is there but not the SQ. I plan on buying some Fi Q's Soon. As far as advice, for SQ, I could say stay away from Solo X's and w7's.

you probably want deeper bass... get better subs and tune low...

is there a reason you can't do 18's 2 IXL 18's or 15's on about 2k watts would be good

I'm not really a fan of 15/18s....just my preference. I want less violent tremors inside the cab; not more or worse. Thanks for the help, though....

Why dont you try sealing your box before you go spending a ton of money? Sealing it up will give you an idea of what level you want to be at, and it may just sound good enough as is. I know some poeple do use the l7's in sq applications, so it may work for you.
