Mounting Tweeters + XOver?

The installation manual for your tweeters will show you now to mount them to a panel.

1. Make a perfect circular hole larger than then back but smaller than the front flange.

2. Remove metal ring.

3. Insert tweeter from front, the front flange will be tight against the panel.

4. Screw ring on from the back, this clamps the tweeter in place.

5. Wire tweeter normally. I recommend adding a quick release harness so you can remove the panel.

thank you guys, so do i need to drill the front part with the mesh on my stock tweeter, or the back INSIDE of the plastic? i was hopin i can make everything look stock still and have my tweeter behind that plastic mesh.

thanks so much, hopefully doing it toay and hopefully it goes well.

i dont think it really came with a manual

i bet yours is slightly different than the Scion xB pictured.

you no longer need the factory mesh grill since the tweeter has it's own grill. what we did isn't ideal but it retained a factory appearance. given his location, it needed to be a stealth install.

Hello once again fellow Malibu owner.

I am about to install some tweets and xover in my car correctly this time.

I will be using a dremel to widen the factory tweet location and make it so the tweet installs flush. I will also be using some double sided 3M tape heavy duty stuff to mount the crossover. I will probably mount them near the kick or above where there is leg room, I still have to decide. This will take a couple days and I'll try to remember to take pics.

The RE XXX comps may be a little more different to install though. I just ordered the Crossfire comps from sonic to try out. But yeah, just dremel the factory tweet location bigger and use the mounting hardware or an adhesive to get the tweets to stick.

alright, got the panel off, better view and know what i wanna do just one problem.

we want to cut the whole outer part off, and make the tweeter flush, but it dosnt come with a grill, so how can i go about doing this, i dont want ppl poking the middle in my car haha
