mounting subs backwards

funny I have two 15"s mounted inverted and the polaritys are reverst and they are playing fine and if you wire reguarly they sound like ***.
You are only "REQUIRED" to do it when one is normal, the other is inverted.

When both are inverted you can do it anyway you want. As long as the 2 drivers phase match. Both reversed or both normal.

i tested max spl of my inverted mag 12s wired both correctly and reversed... same score both ways... so.... no it doesnt matter
And one test is enough to make an end all statement:eyebrow: And how exactly did you test it???

It's all very simple. Just make sure to keep the subs in equal phaze. Or cancelation could be a problem.

I think people are getting confused about being able to wire subs either way and have it not make a difference because they don't realize that the musical power that comes out of the amp is ac not dc.

And there is no reason why the scores should have been different.

What it does change is how the subwoofer blends and integrates with the rest of the system. Sheer output level will not change, however.
