Hi Guys. I was planning to build my box today but forget to gather the mounting hole size from my audio shop which is now closed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

The sub I'm using is an 8" Memphis M-Class (15-MCP9S4). The mounting depth is 4"

Are all 8" subwoofer mounting hole sizes the same? Can I get as close as possible to the size so I can continue my project? Thanks in advance!

Thanks! If no one has a precise answer I will cut for 7" and sand the difference when the sub arrives //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Usually 7 1/8" covers most subs except the ones on 12-spoke cast baskets. Those baskets annoy me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

what did you go with?

my E8's went in easy with 7.25" dia hole.

You could have gome with the other fellas 9" suggestion.... mounted your sub cone facing out to a plate with a 7" hole (check for soft part clearance) and mount the plate to the box, then you get a some level of protection.
